Understanding the language of the platform

Hezorqalavo uses a specific vocabulary to describe how it organises and presents information. The terms below reflect deliberate design choices. Understanding what each term means in the context of this system will help users navigate the platform more confidently and interpret what they see within its interface.

Key concepts explained

Information Organisation

The process by which raw or unstructured information is arranged into defined categories and given a consistent form that users can navigate. On Hezorqalavo, organisation is the primary activity the platform performs — it determines how and where information appears within the system.

Classification

The assignment of an information entry to one or more categories based on the characteristics of that entry. Hezorqalavo uses a consistent classification logic to ensure that entries of similar types appear together and that the category structure remains predictable across sessions.

Category

A named grouping within the platform that contains entries sharing common characteristics according to the classification system. Categories are the primary navigational layer through which users access specific information. Each category sits within the platform's broader information hierarchy.

Entry

An individual item of information within the system, belonging to one or more categories. An entry is the most specific unit of information that users can view. It includes the information itself and its associated classification metadata, visible in the detail view.

Information Hierarchy

The layered structure in which information is organised within Hezorqalavo. At the top level are broad categories; within each category are more specific sub-groupings or entries. The hierarchy determines the sequence in which the guided navigation function presents information to users progressing through the system.

Structured Review

The activity of examining information through the platform's organised interface rather than interacting with it in an unstructured environment. Structured review means that what users see is shaped by the platform's classification and presentation logic, not generated dynamically in response to free-form queries.

Guided Navigation

One of the four core functions of Hezorqalavo. Guided navigation presents information in a defined sequence that starts from a high-level view and progressively reveals more specific content. It is designed to help users understand where they are within the information hierarchy at all times.

Enquiry

A formal message submitted to the Hezorqalavo support team through the contact form on the Enquiries page. Enquiries are the primary means by which users communicate with the platform team and the required channel for all access requests and clarification requests.

Access Request

A specific type of enquiry in which a user asks to be granted access to the Hezorqalavo platform. Access requests are reviewed by the support team before access is confirmed. Submitting an access request does not guarantee access and does not establish a binding timeline for a response.

Support Team

The team at Hezorqalavo Pty Ltd responsible for reviewing enquiries, processing access requests, and responding to questions about the platform. The support team can be reached via the contact form, by email at [email protected], or by telephone on +61 3 8724 5190.

Detail View

The most specific layer of the platform's information hierarchy, where individual entries are displayed with their full content and associated classification metadata. Users access the detail view by navigating through categories and sub-groupings from the top-level overview.

Classification Metadata

Information about an entry that describes how it has been classified within the system. Classification metadata might indicate which category or categories an entry belongs to, when it was organised, and how it relates to other entries nearby in the hierarchy. It is separate from the content of the entry itself.

How this terminology appears across the platform

The terms defined above appear throughout the Hezorqalavo website and are reflected consistently in the interface, the enquiry process, and the support team's communications. Users who understand the terminology will find the platform easier to navigate and interpret.

In the interface

The platform's navigation uses category names and entry labels that reflect the classification system. Terms like "category", "entry", and "detail view" appear within the interface itself to help users understand what they are looking at.

In enquiries and responses

When the support team responds to enquiries, it uses the same terminology to describe what is available and what steps are involved in the access or review process. Familiarity with the terms makes these responses easier to understand.

On supporting pages

The Platform Overview, Functions, and Platform Details pages all use this vocabulary. If a term appears on one of those pages that is not listed here, users are welcome to ask the support team for clarification.
